When I was out there this morning refilling her food she left them in the nest to grab a few bites and didn't seem upset when I reached in to pet one. If I'd had my camera with me I probably would have picked them up, but since I didn't I didn't want to push my luck.

Babies' first adventure in the outdoors this afternoon! The other girls are mostly being good about them. Although Amalthea did grab one by the foot a couple times and Limu didn't look like she was going to step in so I felt like I had to. The poor chick wasn't hurt any worse than the time Limu stepped on a foot at least.

We were changing out the legbands on the easter chicks in the garage brooder this afternoon and of course they were hollering about it. Limu was Very Concerned about the babies she could hear but couldn't see!
