That's a little scary. Do they, or can they, explode?

They can explode especially if poked.

My sister's phone was horrible. It looked like a pillow was shoved in the back of it.

Before you blow up on me for letting my sister walk around with that, I replaced the battery. I hope it lasts longer than my phone's replacement battery.

Yeah. The battery went down to 91% health as well and it's barely been in use for a year. I ordered it as a genuine Google part via ifixit too.

One time my Mom almost accidentally ordered those fake meat burgers they have. She thought it was some kind of new whopper but nope.
