Things you wish you could say

"Chemicals are evil."
Define what you think a 'chemical' is for me.

"This [food/herb] will make my chickens lay!"
I see we managed to sleep through three years of biology classes, care to explain how this [food/herb] increases ovulation?

"Natural is better, safe and healthy."
Define 'natural'. What makes you think it's safer and better?

"I'll treat it herbally."
Do you know how to do that? Do you have dosage and strength information from a real Practitioner or did you see to shove a few two garlic cloves and a snort of cinnamon down your chickens throat on tiktok?
"No, I'll just snort DE and chug apple cider vinegar".

The Appeal to Nature:
The misleading concept that science are at odds with nature and that you therefore shouldn’t trust science. Just because we’ve evolved in unison with nature without vaccines, this fact doesn’t automatically make vaccines dangerous.

“We trust in safekeeping our natural immune systems and therefore we don’t trust in vaccines.”

"No, I'll just snort DE and chug apple cider vinegar".
Worst part: I work at a feed store. I see this All. Day. Long.

"I mix 50# bags of boss and scratch in with my (mediocre) feed, it makes them lay."

"Mealworms are like steroids to make them lay."

Doctors automatically prescribing drugs to remedy issues that can be solved by diet, exercise and self control is also a beef of mine.
Science has deep roots in natural medicine, most drugs are synthesized and measured versions of natural substances. Natural medicine is legitimate treatment.
Both methods are valid, when done properly.
Throwing a bunch of mint leaves in your birds food and calling it medicine is not legitimate treatment, it's a placebo.

Taking modern meds to combat an infection is legitimate treatment.
Someone taking meds to substitute their lack of self control of in shoving a cupcake in their piehole is not legitimate treatment, its a placebo.

Agreed.
What has my concern now are all the weight loss drugs that have exploded onto the market within the last year. They're going to wreak havoc around the world. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

They now want to use AI to prescribe stuff too...
