Things you wish you could say

I've heard that but even seems crazy to me. That's pure fire balls. Ouchie
Not sure whether I should be proud or scared to admit I've participated in more than one roman candle fight when I was a stupid teen. Fireworks aren't illegal in Nebraska, and family reunions are more lively with expolsives. :p

I actually don't mind fireworks going off late into the night. It doesn't bother us, our chickens, or the dog. Even though they are illegal in Ohio, also. Stores can sell them but you can't set them off. That doesn't make much sense to me but I don't make the laws

Police won't do anything?

Here the police literally didn't respond when we called them because someone was pounding on the garage. Several other people called too. Cops showed up hours later.
If that kind of thing happened out here, someone would get a hole put in them, and the local cops know it. Everyone out here is very respectful of private property. ;)

What's "illegal" fireworks?
That should not be a thing.
Aerial shells are illegal outside the city where I live, and they were setting lots of those off. Pretty sure either a box blew up or they had some homemade firework though, cause there was a huge boom. That’s when my dad ran outside and we noticed the fire.

You're lucky. One of mine vomited 3 times. He usually just crawls all over me during fireworks or thunder storms. Last night though it was the neighbor 2 (city) houses down who was setting off a display that rivaled the church 3 blocks away. He started before the sun was even low on the horizon. Later the fools just behind me started up their party and boomie crackers after the wife got off her job at 10:30.
Wish I'd of invited each of them to come clean up a mass of Great Pyrenees puke and handed them a roll of paper towels and the rug shampooer.

All of my neighbours are very quiet, and so whenever I hear one of them have music on loudly I am happy. At Christmas time that the sound of open and closing of the car doors is just about as noisy as it get around here. Firework only at new year eve that happened.

I often get nervous because my house is making all the noise - chickens egg songs.

A tree did not come down causing a power surge, brown out and the frying of our home. Electric fire smell is scary. We did not lose our furnace, oven, dehumidifier, coffee maker and other appliances. Wish I could say all of that.
Oh wow, Sour, sorry to hear! BUT, glad your house is intact and nobody's hurt! Going to check into one of these whole-home surge protector thingies, thanks for the warning!

We were staying in a rented house one spring there. 80F at night. Even with the fan you get little relief.
Fan! You're in Phoenix and all they gave you was a fan??? Why no AC? That's nuts, it gets over 110 for weeks at a time! Did you go visit my Sis-in-law, a certifiable lizard? She won't turn on the AC until it hits 100° in the house!

Wish I could say my GC does not have alpha-gal meat allergies from a Lone Star tick bite and we were able to use the nice expensive gas barbecue grill that's been used exactly once, to have a nice grill-out for Independence Day. Anybody in MO wanna buy a nearly new grill? 🤪
I could really use one, can you ship? :D
