There could be a bad tear in the eyeball, that would be super painful. Can you get some eye ointment? Do you have a Vet you can get some? Some antibiotic eye ointment will help it heal and soothe it. You can also give some infant liquid Tylenol for any pain. Dose is 10mg/kg weight of bird (1kg is 2.2lbs). Twice a day (every 12hrs).

These chooks of ours sure like to cause use stress don’t they! From playing dead to almost getting killed by predators - they sure do keep us hopping! I never would have thought chooks would be as much stress as the horses!

I have been putting antibiotic ointment on it when I can catch her, which is getting harder and harder. Her eyeball looks OK to me though.
This happened 3 weeks ago, she’s no longer in pain thankfully

Oh no! How scary! My silkie cockerel was attacked by a hawk last Fall, he fought and I ran out to rescue him. He was ok. I gained 1,000 new grey hairs!

I'm glad he's okay. (Get some purple shampoo for your grey- it'll make it sparkle )

I would say as long as she is eating pooping and upright all is good.

I think I am nearly grey enough to go with a purple stripe. Maybe for summer.
