Today we become chicken farmers!!!

Ideal is shipping our hatchlings today and I have called our PO to let them know that birds will be here soon! They have said they will call, possibly at 6 am on 2/19. All of my brooders/lamps/feeders/waterers/STUFF has been given a test and is ready to rock!! WOOHOO!!!! Bring 'Em on

Hope they all arrive healthy and ready to lay (my chicks are above average!

). Have given the family a short tutorial on care of the babies, as I work 8-6 most days. This is a team effort, so we want all on the same page...

We are not satisfied w/ just having chicks, we came for the GOLD!!! You know, "In it to win it!"

Wish us luck, and we will have pics up ASAP (probably Saturday am)

Have fun! We just got started on this obsession... I mean chicken raising.... a few weeks ago and I'm already up to 23 chicks and I have 12 in the bator about to hatch. And I'm looking for more!
