This won't provide all the calcium they need in the long run. They need oyster shell, you can buy it at the feed store. It's cheap and lasts a long, long time.I made this yesterday from store bought eggs. Is it look OKView attachment 4125113View attachment 4125111

So, I asked this question before. Why do we go to the trouble of crushing there egg shells when you still need to purchase from TS Oyster Shells.Welcome To BYC
It doesn't sound like you are having an issues with your pullets at this time.
Your question is When do you need Calcium and how much to give.
Usually if you feed a nutritionally balanced poultry feed (layer, all flock, etc.) and provide supplemental oyster shell free choice, it shouldn't be necessary to offer emergency or therapeutic/crisis dosing of Extra Calcium.
Feeding back egg shells is one way of giving your girls supplemental calcium to help give them a boost. But it's always a good idea to also provide Oyster Shell free choice, just place a small amount in a cup/container inside your coop/run, the girls will take a few pieces here and there as they need it.
Hope this helps.
Crushing up and feeding eggs shells is less waste? So, I asked this question before. Why do we go to the trouble of crushing there egg shells when you still need to purchase from TS Oyster Shells.

OK, if my girls provide us (me and my wife) with at least 1egg each x 5hens,I wouldn't need to continue purchasing (before the hen arrived) 36pack of eggs from Casco once a month. What I want to understand is that, it sounds like most of everyone has said OYSTER,OYSTER OYSTER SHELLS is better/best to provide as a supplement.Crushing up and feeding eggs shells is less waste?
Nah...they don't need both. Just provide the oyster shell.
If you're having to buy eggs to get egg shells, then why not buy oyster shell, you don't have to dry and carefully store OS like you do egg shells.
Eh, you can try it without and see how it goes.OK, if my girls provide us (me and my wife) with at least 1egg each x 5hens,I wouldn't need to continue purchasing (before the hen arrived) 36pack of eggs from Casco once a month. Hey man, it's up to you. You've been given the information to keep your pullets/hens fairly healthy and productive; it's up to you to do with it as you wish. There's a lot of information on this site, you can search and come to a good conclusion on you're own or you can also use the web, look up poultry research and nutrition articles, they can be a great source of information:
Nutritionally balanced poultry feed, oyster shells/supplemental calcium, grit (crushed granite), fresh water, shelter from the elements, protection from predators.
