Anybody tried Cluck & Co from TS yet?
I've been using that food for several months, in the organic starter/grower formula. It's fine. I just switched back to Nature's Best organic starter grower because it's not quite as expensive as CLuck & CO and is otherwise the same nutrition. I have oyster shells in a bowl.

I purchased a bag of "Cluck & Company" organic feed from TSC as it is cheaper & local. I have been ordering "Scratch & Peck" organic feeds from Amazon and prices have really gone up. All that to say that my girls would not even touch the Cluck & Company feed. I tried to feed it dry, fermented, moistened, I even mixed it with cooked barley (which they go crazy over) and they just would not eat it at all... I ended up giving the entire 25# bag (less my samplings) to a friend. So I guess I'll stick with what they WILL eat.

My hens have stopped laying and I just saw something on YouTube about tractors feed might be missing something and causing this. Is this real? If this is being discussed or has a thread already please direct me to it.
thank you!!
My hens slow way down or stop during the winter also. It is normal for them to do it. They need 12 hrs of sunlight a day - it will pick up again in spring.I get my feed from TSC. I used to get Free Range pellets( higher protein). They stopped carrying it at my store, so now I get Dumor Layer feed and supplement with SeaKelp.

Mine are laying without any light, just whatever they get outside. I have five over 2 years old, 2 a year and a half and two pullets.
Mine too, 14 hens, and I get 8 to 12 eggs a day, have not slowed down much, backed off to 7 or 8 eggs for a few days after an ice storm. I do have 9 sex links tho and they are known for great year around layers, 2 BR's, 1 CLB, one RIR, and one little Mille F Ducle who lays all the time and then goes broody. I use her tiny eggs for myself, since I lost her mate.

Thanks.. it will.
just another challenge to learn from and overcome.

i CANT STAND buying eggs from the store.. lol
I know, me too, cannot remember when I had to buy eggs, maybe 24 years ago. I sell eggs to my neighbors who do not have chickens. They just call me when they are getting low, it pays for my feed. That is all care about.
Love my girls.

I’ve read it takes two weeks for a new feed to make a difference. It’s been 9 days Since I changed to NatyreWise layer From Dumor .Yesterday I got 2 eggs from my 11 Columbian Wyandottes.
I've always had lights on.

I will keep you posted.
