Thank you! I've noticed the last 2 days when I let her out, she has been drinking a lot and I mean way more than I've ever seen her. I recently switched to chicken nipples about a month ago and she's been drinking from it, maybe she's not drinking enough though as well.A purple comb is a sign your hen is in bad shape or not feeling well. She may have a condition called vent gleet. I think you need to give her a warm sitz bath with epsoms salts in it. Also check her carefully for any parasites. I would give her some nutridrench and scrambled eggs to help give her energy. Do a search on vent gleet, i am sure there are lots of posts on here about what to do for that. Do it now, don't wait. A chicken that looks sick is very sick. A heating pad or heat lamp after the bath will help her get warm and dry. Good luck with your bird!
You are right, but i wanted to get treatment started asap.Maybe it’s just me but this question would probably be better suite in this thread.
