I got this chick from TSC a few days ago. She was in a bin that had brown leghorn and brahma straight run chicks. She has clean legs, so we assumed she was a brown leghorn. But I was just looking at pictures of brown leghorn chicks, and her little face looks significantly different to me. She looks more like a gold laced wyandotte or maybe a partridge chantecler, or something...? Or do brown leghorn chicks look like this sometimes??
Dark brown/black stripe down middle of back and on head/face; lighter grayish brown on sides and front; golden chipmunk stripes, cheeks, "eyebrows," and other face markings; orange legs; yellow/orange beak.
When we got her home, I said she looked like a little duckling, and when I swipe up on her picture, my phone asks if I'd like to look up "mallard"
