Ya, your looked like they had been fighting like my toms were.

They fight all the time, but my Tom is definitely in charge over the jakes. They are still chasing each other and fighting but not as violently. I am still trying to decide which one to invite to Easter dinner. I thought I would invite one of the self blues, But he was in full show off mode today and he is so pretty....what to do.... I wish I could sell them.

I love the self blue (lavender) birds. Gorgeous! I plan on growing out any I get this year

I'm seriously thinking my last BBB's from 2 years ago were crosses. They acted nothing like this group. This group is weird, noisy and growing like weeds. They are 16 days old. The chick is 12 days old. My last BBB's didn't grow this fast.

I have 19 bbw & 25 chicks in the brooder that are 11 days old & the poults are about triple hatch size already. Poor chicks gotta be fast or get trampled...lol

I hear ya I am about to have to move my chicks out of the brooder with the poults and ducks and put them back into the chick brooder since all the other babies are eating and drinking great.

I don't advise brooding poults with ducks. The poults are kinda stupid & tend to copy the ducks' water play. A wet poult gets chilled very easily & dies quickly. I learned this the hard way. I would advise moving the ducks & keeping the chicks with the poults.
