Twins ? Day 9

Hi all I have silkie eggs on day 9 I’m probably imagining it but I could swear one egg has 2 chicks in one on the left and one on the right any advice appreciated

Hard to see in a picture what you are seeing. The chick can be folded up in the egg. Do you see two heartbeats?

it could well be I’m not sure I’ll have another look tonight as when I try to look too closely it moves away

had another proper look today and I think your right while still very active I can only see one heartbeat I believe and my bad tonight
Is day 11 not 9 also I’ve read silkies need to be put on lockdown day 17 instead of 18? As they tend to hatch day 19-21 is this correct ?

Most of my bantams will hatch on day 20 under a broody hen. I don't use an incubator, so I'm not sure if that would alter it or not.

@Debbie292d hatches silkies in an incubator. Hopefully she can help out.

I do 4 days minimally, even 5 sometimes as I have had a couple pipping on the 18th day. 19 days isn't unusual for one or two early birds.

So what would you suggest ? I just want to make sure I do everything right so now technically it’s day 12 now as it’s 1am day 21 if I’m right is the 30th so that should I start lockdown on Friday xx
