Two coops, one run?

Is it possible to have two coops attached to one large run? One coop on either side of the run? I've been looking through pictures and I haven't come across any that look like this. I just purchased a chicken coop and I'm thinking about purchasing another so I can house more chickens. I'd like them to share a run though. Has anyone done this?

I've seen a couple of premade coops based on this design. The Chick-n-barn can be extended infinitely, they say.

ETA: It might not be a good idea to have them share a run, though.

I am wondering if they would have fights every morning- especially if you have roos.

This is what I'm doing. I have 2 coops with 1 24' x 24' run. Since I have Silkies and Buff Orpingtons, I'm going to just split the run in 2 with chicken wire between. I haven't finished putting up the wire yet but thats goin to be done tomorrow. Here's a picture from before. My husband used 2x4's as posts, in this pic....but after we took the pic we had pulled those out and we now have 4x4's as posts with 2x4's around the bottom, and we'll be putting 2x4's around the top too, with some braces. Then welded wire & chicken wire around the whole thing.

We still have all baby chicks. But so far, I think at least two of them are roosters. As of now all of the chicks are inside a brooder still. Do you think if I put them all out in the run and coops together at the same time it would still be a problem?

I had 3 Buff roos at once til they were about 6 months old. I had gotten rid of 2 of them, not because of fighting, but because their were too many roos that I didn't need. They occasionally fought but nothing severe. I have 2 Silkie roos in the same pen now and I never see them fighting. They are about 8 months old I believe. I did have a few more in there but I got rid of them because of too many. I guess it depends on what breed?

We have two coops and one run. The pop doors face each other and we just built the run off the outside of each one and back and across the front in between the coops. We did add poles down the middle in case we need to separate them. My chicks are still basically little ones so I don't know if we'll need to do that yet or not. Cochins and silkies... hopefully they'll all get along!

You just have to be sure you have enough run for the chickens in 2 coops. Mine is 300sq ft.
