Yesterday while I was walking out to go give my ducks some treats I saw my Head male Drako mating with my younger male Wilson... Wilson along with his sister Oswald are new to the flock, and Wilson is taking a beating. He usually is on the opposite side of the fence as the others but still stays with them. There is not really much damage being done that you can see. My head male duck Just chases him all over the yard an mates with him too apparently... :/ is this just a ducks way of establishing a pecking order? Should I be concerned?

He and his sister used to be with my four Canadian geese, but all but one have flown away. (We have TONS of geese around here) anyways because their childhood friends have up and flown away they've decided to join the other 5 ducks, but Drako doesn't seem too willing to accept them into his flock.

That's normal male duck behavior, they rape anything they can catch. Some drake's are worse than others though. It's definitely a dominance thing and Drako will tire of it, it's also moultng season, so if he goes through molt that will lesson his assault's on poor Wilson.

Okay few! I was kinda worried

Could you tell me more about moulting? This is my older ducks first time moulting.( Wilson and Oswald are too young) I've noticed a few new feathers on some of my ducks shoulders, but that's about it. There are not any big bald spots like when chickens molt. Do they show any signs that they are about to go through molt?
