Do I need to assist this goose? The membrane is yellow around him and he’s only done a giant hole rather than zipping.

Maybe this will help. He might be resting, its states in the article that its normal for them to take up to 24 hours to get out.
I'm just worried because the inner membrane is a deep yellow around him you know?
@Pyxis @WVduckchick What do you think?

Sorry @emmallaub I am not sure what you should do.
Sit tight for help, it will come!
Oh geez, hatching is so stressful.

Keep close tabs on your humidity and dont open the bator unless you absolutely have to. Just keep checking him. Im sure hes fine, if you can see him breathing, thats a good sign. He might be absorbing the yolk too!

Its so exciting its hard to be patient!! :oops:

Is the yellow membrane nothing to worry about?

If you havent heard or read anything about it, its probably nothing.

How is the little guy doing?
He's just chilling and yawning, he's being plenty noisy so hopefully he's ok.
Hopefully he'll turn and pip, I don't know if just having a giant hole is ok in the shell.

I am not sure so do not take my word for this but he might be stuck.
The membrane might have dried out around him?

@Nyla
