URGENT HELP NEEDED

I think its more stressful for us that it is for them!

Ive got a broody expecting to hatch today, I can hear the peeping under her but no babies yet. Im chewing my nails out worrying about chicks that I cant see, but might need help!

Shes so fluffed over the top I cant see a darn thing!!

If hes "yawning" thats almost certainly him still absorbing the yolk. Like everyone said give it another 12 hours or so. I do help if needed, but theres a hole, hes got air so theres no rush in this instance

I'm NO expert, but 36 hours... I vote yes. I have assisted 5 quail so far, all at the same time because I did a staggered hatch and started shrink wrapping some. All I did was zip the shell for them. I did not remove the top half or pull the bird out. They pushed the top open and climbed out on their own. 5 of the 6 ended up making it...

This is just what I did. Hopefully someone will post the assisted hatching guidelines thread...

Yay!! Glad hes out!! Funny how those guys take their time. If I was cramped in a tiny space I would be itching to get out as soon as it was safe!
