Speaking of eggs, did you decide what kind of blues you wanted to go with? Our girls did not wait for spring, so I'm collecting now for an Am hatch (black x isabel).

I'm probably going to order Whiting True Blues. From everything I've been told, they should do well in my climate and setup and fit in well with my flock.

I'll probably order more than I want and sell the others.

I just want a little variety in my flock and my egg basket.

I'm focusing on the Blue Australorps, so I've decided that I'm going to phase out all brown layers other than Australorps (and the silver-laced Australorp(ish) project birds), and keep some white layers (California White), some blue layers, and some dark-brown layers (I'd prefer feather-footed French Cuckoo Marans but Ideal doesn't carry them anymore and I can't bring myself to pay Cackle's prices).

There is indeed a striking resemblance between this power cord and the Chromebook charger. If he hadn't had to adjust the water heater no one would have touched anything and it was my request to make the adjustment.

Thanks to the photo, the cord has been found.

Someone -- potentially my DH -- had mistaken it for a spare charger for my old Chromebook and took it to the stained glass "studio" when setting up the Chromebook with the old TV up there.

I will have to find a silver Sharpie and write "Nurture Right 360" on it.

DS collected those little plastic bread tabs - you know, the ones we're always throwing away because we can never get them back on the bag properly? He clipped one to every charger cord he could find, labeled with the device it matched. He marked a bunch of the Christmas lights, too, to note where each one fits. I didn't have the heart to tell him how much those bushes will grow over the course of a year ...
