Sasha, love the pictures, especially that frizzle!

Cynthia, you are awesome! I'm glad you called. I'm still not convinced though, I gotta say. LOL

Today I took my little lavender ameraucana up to River Rock Family Farm. I'm trading him for some hatching eggs that I'll set next week. After seeing all of the gorgeous birds, I'm now torn. I'd originally though maybe coronation sussex. Hers ARE stunning. But she has some really neat ameraucanas (wheaten, and then some other breed that was an amazing gray/brown color). And her olive eggers are great too. And OMIGOSH she has some mille fleur cochins that are to die for. And her barred rocks. I didn't think I wanted a barred rock, but after seeing hers, I'm rethinking that. ACK!:barnie  Help me decide PLEASE!

THAT calls for chicken math. I vote one of each :) And I love BR, they are the sweetest things.

Awww!!! Amazing. They are so stinking sweet. I can't believe your other one is still waiting, that is awful. When you guys sell them are girls or boys more popular? Just wondering if these little boys are like roos in the chicken world :)

depends on what the people want...if they just want weed eaters or pets, the wethers (fixed boys) are great. but if wanting to breed it is all about the girls.

Awesome. So the boys are not in quite as much peril as our poor roosters. I was thinking girls would be in big demand due to the milk factor. Our neighbors have a little male and it makes the most ridiculous noise, we laugh every time we hear it, sound like a little old drunk man haha!

Omigoodness, she STILL hasn't kidded? I bet she is green with envy that the other one went ahead and beat her to the punch.

Lisa, I can't do one of each!!!!! ARGH!

Oh, you would love the barred rock!! Here's a picture of the one I had. Just to let you know, they get very large. They are the same breed as Brad and my Pencils. They are a rock..if you think the barred is pretty, you should see the partridge! I love all the Rocks...
And, they are the sweetest bird..at least all of my barred rocks have been.
