Could this possibly be the beginning stages of vent prolapse?
I have a 17 week old buff Orpington hen who has been acting a little off the past couple days. (Beak open, little bit of white mucous on rear feathers.)
Today at request of other members of back yard chickens I managed to get a photo of her vent, (not easy!)
I haven't heard back on my original post yet, so figured I'd create a whole new thread showing the image of her behind.
Please help! I don't want to start treating her til I know for sure what is wrong.
Thank You to anyone who may be able to help!!
