Very weird situation with hens and rooster

Hello,so uh very weird things are happening in our flock lately.Our male quail was a normal quail since 2 years,he had 4 females and they would mate,but since 8 days he is doing weird things.He mates only with a hen,protects her,shares mealworms with her,but attacks ALL the other females.He plucks their feathers,really,he plucks them,spits them,plucks again and spits again.I have seperated him and the female that he mates since 7 days.Today i tried again to see if he would be normal again but he is still doing these things.I dont know whats going on,can someone help?

I have Heard that roosters have favourite hens, but I don’t know why he is attacking the other hens. maybe try separating him all on his own for a week.

Alright,i will try to seperate him on his own for a week,even though that he will crow nonstop

Thats because he's identified her as a high value female and is investing his time,effort and resources to keep her safe,and continue the bloodline for years to come. All the other females haven't brought anything to the table so he's keeping the THOTS away from his frame...
We could learn ALOT from animals...
