Virginia Chicken Mama in the BYC Coup!

Hi Folks,
My hubby and I live in Rockingham County, VA. We are working on becoming a productive homestead. We started raising Welsummer chickens last year and just acquired a flock of Speckled Sussex chickens. We now have 16 lovely chicken ladies running all over the hen yard and 4 roosters (2 Welsummer, 2 Speckled Sussex) that keep us in fertile eggs. I now have 15 Welsummer eggs in the incubator that are due to hatch March31/April 1. I LOVE my Chickigirls!

Looking forward to getting to know other Chick-a-holics here!
