Walkway to pond

Hey guys I lost one of my ducks to a hawk sadly. One is left and was depressed so I got her two new ones. I built her a nice two story mini house for her but I want her to be able to walk to my back yard pond without her getting scooped up. From her “house” to the pond is about 20 feet I want to let her free roam these areas without me watching her 24/7 any ideas what I should do?

Yea but I’m also worried about animals such as foxes and coyotes.

Wire tunnels would protect them from predators if covered in hardware cloth
