Hey all
My year and a half hen is pooping yellow her back is dirty she is an Easter Egger but she doesn't lay many eggs just about 10 eggs since she started laying a year ago. She is eating and drinking water but seems kind of sad. I will attach some pictures. Any advice appreciated.

The normally white urates in her dropping appear bright yellow, which can be a sign of reproductive disorder or liver disease. Can you post a picture if she poops again in the next 12-24 hours? Has she been laying eggs with normal shells?

She doesn't lay much eggs after molting last year she laid about 5 eggs and stopped lay completely she the only one because my other hens same age give me eggs frequently. I suspected she had a reproductive issue her eggs never had yolk always like water inside but hard shell.

Is her lower belly enlarged at all? Have you thought about trying some antibiotics? Amoxicillin or enrofloxacin are common ones to try for reproductive infections. Many times we can’t know for sure what exactly is going on until after death when we could do a necropsy, or have the state vet do one. I have seen the yellow urates in stools from salpingitis or egg yolk peritonitis, and you may see them with cancer or water belly. I learned a lot doing my own home necropsies. Let us know how she gets along. Many people post pictures of their necropsies here on their posts, and it is important to see the major organs inside the abdomen. If you even do one, here is a good video where the vet labels the organs inside the abdomen:

I don't see anything but I can try some antibiotic and see. I will watch the video and try to do it if need it. Thank you for your help. God bless you 🙏

There is a lot of bile in her droppings. I still think she has a reproductive disorder. I have seen fatty liver disease in one hen who looked normal size, but had a lot of fat on her organs. Can you try to get her eating some cooked egg and a watery mash of chicken feed? A tsp or two of plain Greek yogurt with cultures would give some probiotics.

Yes I will do that tomorrow. Thank you so much
