I didnt do my normal work outside all day things yesterday, I dont do well is I get to cold, I have raynaud's in my hands and feet. Yes I have several gloves and socks and boots and ,,,well my old bones just dont like cold wet.
but it is what it is,, PNW winter until March, rainrainrain

So, it is time to grab turkeys for the freezer while they are on sale, I grab the organic fresh ones from costco.
I am still waiting on the W-small cow to go to the meat cutter. I got 3 eggs yesterday, 5 the day before. the flock is on vacation 🤣

We're going into town later DH has a Doc appointment, he has Metastatic prostate cancer, and heart issues.
We need to make a few other stops but I want to get back before school lets out, the traffic is nuts.

Have a great weekend!! stay warm and dry

Raynaud's is no fun. I use heated socks and hotties in my mittens and that seems to help. The cold dampness here is truly a pain.

In the next couple days, I'm going to start integrating 2 new hens with 2 existing hens. Unfortunately, the forecast is for rain every day starting Sunday. We have a large fenced 'day use' area, and a covered predator proof run attached to the hen house. The 2 existing hens tend to stay in the run when its raining. I could put a tarp over part of the day use area. I know its important to have a lot of room during integration, so I don't want them all fighting over the covered run. Anyone have any tips on how to do this with this upcoming weather?
