Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Not caught up, did not have it in me tonight to read through everything. We got up at 5 and left the house at 6 to head to Ashford to pick up DS's little pony. We were trying to get him home and in the stall before DS woke up. We missed, but it was a fun attempt. They had snow down there and it was coming down steadily as we got the trailer loaded with the pony and his tack. We got back just before 9 and got him settled before he came down to the barn. Logan brushed him about 5 times today and can clean his front hooves all by himself. This is the best pony I have ever met.
Here is the hoof cleaning, his feet should be turned away from the horse, but I didn't correct him, as he was so excited that he could do it. We will work on that tomorrow.

Also, in looking over the youngest chicks today, I am 85% sure that one of my white leghorns is also a cockeral. I do NOT need two Leghorn roosters. So,
DH said that he would butcher it.

FWJ ~ the cakes that you made looked wonderful!! Your little guy is cute with his mohawk! I let my boys do the Faux-hawk, but my older son doesn't ever style his hair, so it just looks like a regular haircut. He is not allowed to have a mohawk at school, it is on the disruptive list in the dress code.

What a great pony!!! Your DS looks to be in love

Quote: hallerlake brought up Cream Legbars; I was talking about my build-your-own-heavy-laying silver-spangled blue-eggers project.

For the newer members: hallerlake and I have been friends for... wow, how long, lots more than ten years, anyway, and sometimes address each other in shorthand.

Also, on another posting board I frequent I am known as Confusa...

(And on another, Cronescaper).
We met on the aol garden boards about twenty years ago.

No kidding, but if we can wait a year or two, prices come down.

Well today we had to go to town and I decided to drive the pick up. On the drive the pick up relayed to me that is DOES NOT want to go to Vancouver or Canby the following week. Soooo it looks like we will be taking Whitey. The bigger truck. Scary thing is......... too much space to haul lots of stuff home.

wow, not looking at this site for a day and it just leaves you behind. The electric work has been done and the mill is back up. I lost a few of the day old meaties because of over crowding while the electric work was being done, but still have about two hundred doing great now. I also have about thirty asorted layer breeds and most of them need homes. if anyone is looking for some free straight run chicks let me know. I will list them for sale on cl Monday. there are some astralorp, some gray chicks with featherd feet, a rir, several rose comb anconas.
