I like going to Onalaska feed store here they sell Xcel feed.
My birds like the layer pellets to all purpose just have to see.

I couldn't leave all those tomatoes on the vines so I boxed them up. Got around 5 pounds that were starting to ripen and 20 or 25 pounds of green tomatoes. Anyone made/tried green tomato pickles??? I tossed the vines in the pile down by the woods.



I made good progress clearing out the garden. I'm glad I pulled the plants when the soil was dry. They came out easily and I was able to shake most of the dirt off the roots.



And the chickens got something to keep them occupied for a few days.

Thanks! I'll be glad when I can take a break from gardening, but that probably won't happen.

I'm thinking about starting my pepper seeds soon and growing them as houseplants this winter so they're big when they go into the garden next year. It seems like gardening is a year 'round thing for me. LOL

I brought the still going strong marigolds in small pots 3 of them.
Put each in a bucket to winter them.

Hello Washingtonian friends! I've been busy in the garden and working on our home remodel. All the while my little flock is growing up. A few of my ducks went to their new home in Vancouver to live with my daughter yesterday. I felt a little emotional even! I would like to sell a few of these Indian Runners. They are lovely! Do you have any suggestions? I would have gladly bought my ducks locally if I could have located them back in Spring. Thanks for your helpful input.

Hey there no ducks here just chickens.
Cleaned the coops, Think I may give the banty away.
One less coop to clean still have 2 all with bigger birds.

They do look happy.

I don't keep ducks. Mostly just silkie chickens now

Good morning all it is wet here !
Do not have to water the garden wet.
We did need water so not to mad.
Rubber boots and raincoat
I figure I will go to the auction pick a rooster out
3 days then the auction Chehalis.
