Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Raccoon paw prints on the sliding door, about 2 feet above where its hind feet would've been. There's no way it could have lifted the door up, but it sure looks like it tried. You can see one of the chickens behind the window, sitting on the roost bar.

I decided to remove the floating row cover from my brassica patch. Bok choi seems to thrive in the cool wet weather compared to the kale, collards, daikon radishes and cabbages. Lettuce grew a little better under the row cover compared to the unprotected lettuce plants near the onions and shallots.

Shallots and yellow onions in alternating rows of this bed.

More yellow onions and my garlic patch. Should have plenty of alliums for my homemade salsa.

Poor germination in the pea patch. I need to buy new seeds and fill in the empty parts of the rows.

People say coyotes have been in this area, but I've never seen nor heard them here. I hear them on the other side of the river sometimes. Come to think of it, I haven't heard them in a long time.

This is a small community of 5 acre lots. It may be too populated for them.

Coyotes adapt to city living surprisingly well

Isn't it early for the peas? I think they will come up in May. But, I'm not the master gardener here, you are. 😁
