Oops, sorry! I haven’t been on recently, I can try to get new ones today... I completely forgot! My phone had been missing since Thursday evening and I just found it yesterday. I’ll get pictures in a couple minutes.

Nutmeg and Pebbles are girls. I'm on the fence with Eclipse. I think it could still go either way.

Agreed, except Eclipse is a cockerel to me.

Sorry it took me so long! Was pouring rain and the silkies were huddled under the coop. Most of the photos aren’t any good... maybe I’ll


20 weeks, I think.

Nutmeg... maybe thinking pullet? Was hard to shoo out from under the coop, and made a beeline to get under it again.

Eclipse. 99% sure cockerel. Not only does “he” have a big comb, he also seems to have little copper streaks in his hackles, and seemed upset when I picked up either pebbles or nutmeg. When went to pick him up, he pecked my hand, but was otherwise fairly docile when I was actually holding him. And that stance makes me think cockerel. Lots of photos, but most of them are blurry.

Pebbles, pretty sure pullet.

(unfortunately she’s kind of shy so it was hard for me to get photos of her.)

Agree Eclipse is looking like a boy now!
Other two are pullets.

Yeah I agree about Eclipse as well (and finally changed my vote). He's definitely looking masculine now! Pebbles and Nutmeg are looking very feminine, I'd be confident they are both pullets at this point.

Thank you! My final guess then is that Eclipse is a cockerel, Nutmeg is a pullet, and Pebbles is a pullet! Planning to keep Eclipse, unless he starts being really mean. I hope that’s not the case!

Does anyone know when I can tell if Eclipse is going to be a “nice” cockerel, or a “mean” one?
