What are you canning now?

I'm going to be processing a large amount of tomatoes this year for tomato sauce. Which would you recommend - a foley food mill or a strainer attachment for a kitchen aide mixer or ?????
Thnx for the advice - I am so inspired by all these posts:)

I am old school (but not that old), so the food mill would work for me, but, so many have the kitchen aide mixers now so if you can get the or have the attachment.....use it

less work, same outcome.

Well, we recovered a bit from the Fri/Sat markets and got another 12 pts Black Bean & Corn Salsa done late yesterday afternoon.

Later today we'll be working on Tomatoes & Okra, and a Veggie Soup. Will let ya'll know how that turns out.

^^ hee hee ^^

Welcome to the obsession.

A friend brought a box of peaches back from E WA for my yesterday, so tonight I'll be slapping on a latex glove over my injured hand (cut my thumb badly on the food processor blade yesterday while starting sauerkraut), and processing a whole ton of peaches!

Sorry to hear about your finger - but should have known that it wouldn't slow you down - seems you are always canning something. Made two batches of peach salsa yesterday. Some 1/2 pints for Christmas presents and the rest in pints.

Happy canning
