What bird tried to kill my chicken - video

I think that should heal up well, dont keep her with the flock, or outside. Maggots are rude little things. She is so lucky that halk (yes I think its a halk) let go. It was not her time for sure! In the video, was that white chicken, a rooster? Both just ran, they were like "nope!"

No they are all hens. The attacked bird is top hen in the pecking order and she fought like it.

What was once an incredible wound is now a tiny little scab smaller than a pea. New feathers everywhere. I have returned her to the flock.

I watched in case of violence. No one DARED question her sudden reappearance.

Sarah - that is looking much better. Certainly looks as though it is healing. Hope you and your husband are as well.

Thanks for thinking of us. His daddy died last Saturday. We are still going through it. One of this birds sisters is not well and it isn't looking good
