What breed is she?

This hen is about 9-10 weeks old. Just trying to figure out her breed. She was in the Americana bin with Easter eggers.

Speckled Sussex!

They are dual purpose breeds and are very docile chickens that don't mind being held. They are good egg layers.

Here are some examples of what she should grow up to look like! My Speckled Sussex hen is my favorite hen!

They are beautiful! I suspect her being a speckled Sussex but I wasn’t sure because she’s not quite as “speckled” as most I see. Is that something that will come once she gets all her adult feathers?

Their speckles become more prevalent as they get older! My hen is around 9 months old. I cannot remember when she got all her spots, but I remember her being fully feathered and wondering why she had such a small amount of speckles.

Now she has alot of speckles! Your little lady will grow into her spots in time!
