Our contract with Sprint will be up soon and I'm trying to decide if we're going to stick with them or change. As I'm researching and reading over all the different company plans I feel like pulling my hair out. Sprint has been ok for us when we're traveling but here at the house the coverage is terrible. We had planned on canceling our home phones and using our cells but we can't because the service is so bad here. In fact, I keep my cell turned off while I'm home because it is so frustrating trying to use it.

So, who do you use, what kind of plan do you have, and what do you like and/or dislike?

We use ATT (Cingular), but you reception could be the phone too. When we first got ours we could not get any signal at all here at the house. I had to go outside and walk about 100 yards down to the creek bridge to get even a single bar. I went back to the phone store and raised nine kinds of **ll with them, told them it was worthless to me if the darn thing wouldn't work at my own house. The tech guy told me to trade for a cheaper, older style phone and try that. Believe it or not I get full signal with this phone. The fancy one just didn't get as good reception I guess.

i have heard from several sprint costumers that their service is HORRIBLE at their house but fine elsewhere.

we use T-mobile here. i love it. i haven't had any problems and we've been with them for almost 7 years.

I have had sprint forever LOL never a problem until recently. I upgraded my phone and the service is horrible but yet my roommate's phone is fine with no problems what so ever. Was told it was the phone. I perfer a phone that has an antenna on it and my new one does not have that, it's internal. They have reuploaded my phone and now it is doing it again, so they are suppose to get me a new one. My last phone was great it worked inside a commercial freezer LMAO The only time I lost a signal was at the casino in front of a slot machine LMAO! If you are having an issue check the phone it could be that. My parents have verizon and they have signal issues at home too.

We use Verizon and have had no problems with it. In fact, for a couple of years while we were selling one house and building a retirement home, DH was in rural Tennessee and I was in Charleston SC, and we talked every day with no difficulties. We do get pretty basic phones, though. Don't use them for internet, etc., although we did send a lot of pictures back and forth during the selling/building process.

I use StraightTalk for 45 dollars a month I get unlimited talk and tex and web. It is a prepaid so I dont have a contract and if I cant afford a card one month I dont have to worry about having to pay the rest of the contract. Not had any problems.

I have been with T Mobile forever, but the service is not what it use to be, I am seriously thinking about switching to Verizon as they seem to have the best coverage area where I live. My work cell is verizon and when my phone fails me, the Verizon phone never lets me down. ( I think thats because all the towers here belong to Verizon, definitely have the monopoly on cell phones and internet services!) My DH has AT & T and doesnt seem to have the issues that I face.
