Oh! She's hiding some Silkie in there then I bet. Maybe she is the dam. Would explain the pattern. Her cochin hen though, the silver penciled one, also has 5 toes oddly enough just FYI

None of my girls weigh/weighed over 2lbs. A properly bred Silkie should be tiny too.I thought it was weird that her cochins had 5 toes. I said something. She was like "don't most cochins have 5 toes?" I'd like to know who her supplier is. They're really tiny, so maybe they threw some petite silkie in there to get the tinier size?
Don't believe everything you read on Google. There are certain breeds with 5 toes. Has nothing to do with bantams. Silkies, Dorkings, Sultans, Houdans, and Faverolles are the only breeds with 5 toes.I googled it, and apparently it's not so out of the ordinary for bantam breeds in general to have a higher frequency of 5 toes... maybe silkie influence on bantams in general?
Make sure you update this thread with pics!well I'm super stoked actually. I thought she looked extra puffy for a chick, and thought she looked like silkie chicks I've seen, and I'm actually really excited to see how she's going to grow out
Just one more question, after seeing her wing feathers, what color you thinking? Or is it still too early to guess?Make sure you update this thread with pics!
