What did you do in the garden today?

but Iā€™m like you, need whole suit!!
Hubby and I have just the jacket with a hood/veil. We got them at TSC, for $80 (IIRC) each, and they came with gloves. For the bottom half, we wear heavy duty pants. I tuck my pant legs into my socks; hubby uses tape around his ankles.

So far, hubby is the only one who has been stung, and he got hit on the ankle.

There is a bee thread, https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/the-honey-factory.1358454/page-316#post-27842919
and you can ask questions there. Here is ok too. I consider bees essential to gardening. :)

Itā€™s so humid that my skin is wet when I walk out. šŸ˜‘ think high 90s yesterday.
I decided to take the plastic bottles off the squash bc they look like leaves getting burned.
I scored some free lavender ā¤ļø
I also found a grow light on deep discount. These are staying in - maybe forever.

We also were gifted a bee hive ! Iā€™m still in learning phase- wonā€™t get bees till next year
There may be a bee keepers group near you that you can learn from also.

Anyone know whatā€™s up w these tomato leaves? This plant is in w beans - only bottom ones like it - complete shade there.
We had a gully washer last night and it knocked over some corn and tomatoes.
When I saw these on my eggplants I thought- ticks! The snails went to processing plant. It was super nice of them to all be on one leaf like that .
I am greeted by every evening w my chicks lining up in their run!
My hydrangeas are turning dusty rose. Letā€™s see if they get deeper as time goes by. Still most beautiful it has been!
Doing yearly cleaning of freezer! I prefer the hot day bc it help cool things off. Also need space for this yearā€™s harvest

Morning all. Got almost an inch of rain last night. Was woken up by all the phones going off for a storm warning with 80 mph winds. We didn't get that, thankfully, but the lightening was crazy! Looked like a strobe light.

I love this time of year when everyone shares pics of the garden progress. Mine this am:

I will have to move the bean tower next year, it's taking over the pepper tower.

Tomatoes are doing well. & the dog, chasing a chippy in the rhubarb. Covered squash is doing good too, pollinated a couple more today & pulled out a couple extra plants, was too crowded.
