Probably a good idea... The soil there is just normal dirt... I really need to add more soil but I've held off because I didn't want to harm the few plants that are still growing.Maybe you should test the soil in that bed. It could be too acidic or too alkaline.
Oregano pods for planting?
I had a volunteer oregano plant come up a foot away the other two, from seed I assume.Yes, the seed heads. I haven’t cleaned out or packaged up most of the seeds yet, I’ll probably keep putting that off. Some of that is just me being lazy but I don’t need them packaged right away, they’re not all finished and I have enough fall stuff to keep me busy.
I doubt that a water bath canner would be safe for meat. We only use a pressure canner for chicken. Have no ducks or other poultry. We vacuum seal and freeze most of our chicken. I think Ma has already canned some chicken with her counter top electric pressure canner. I'll ask her once she is up and going come morning.bought some hyacinth and tulip bulbs.
anyone canned chicken/ducks with bones so that bones are soft and edible? there was a girl on the island I lived before that has a brother who makes it that way. she moved to another island so I cannot find out how to do it. if I understood well her brother does it in a pressure canner. I know he puts pieces of muscovy ducks in jars. is there any other way to can meat in jars except in a pressure canner?
