What did you do in the garden today?

We don't even have informed delivery here.
Our mail lady loathes getting out of the car. I even put up an extra large SHED for her to deliver packages in so she doesn't have to walk the extra 50 feet to the front door from the driveway. She B!tche$ about the shed being a pain. SERIOUSLY?! It's the size of a classic phone booth. She doesn't even have to bend over to open, deliver, or close the thing.
Impossible to make her happy.
See what happens when merit isn’t required for a job position.

But if we raise the postage to $1.50 or better per stamp everything will be better, more responsive, more accountable, and more conscientious………right?

I have one of those security slot mailboxes, cause you know, country theft. She doesn't like it either. She has to fold mail and it slows her down...I'm telling you.....nuts she drives me.
I believe they work for us…correct? Government employee, entrusted with our valuable mail( making us a direct customer)……yet, virtually NO accountability to anyone, for any reason.

Some of the rural PO carriers use their own vehicle. They just cut the maintenance allowance

Not ours…..government vehicles. I did have it explained once that a big part of this HORRIBLE delivery issue is a result of an internal change. The change apparently removed the actual postal carrier from the mail sorting process leaving it to their managers. Now why would the people most familiar with their route and ‘customers’ not be a party to, at least, assisting in the sorting and organizing of the mail for THEIR route?

Cause a lot of them have to deliver Amazon packages on Sundays now too.

I won't use "regular" bug spray either... I have tried various homemade with essential oils, vinegar, etc...but nothing seems to work consistently. More times than not, I just go without....
I will not use OFF on my skin. Or sunblock, for that matter. I wear a loose fitting long-sleeved crew neck T-shirt, and a wide brimmed hat with a bug net over it.

I get bitten on occasion, like on the back of my hand today, by a deer fly. I'd like to try the vanilla essential oil suggestion, but first I have to find some vanilla essential oil.

My purslane crop. When I harvest some tomorrow I'll just trim a few leafy stems from each plant so they continue growing.
