I know they love drupes and grapes.Ugh that is so gross. But you made me laugh with 'nuke them till they glow'. That says it all.
I would be taking them straight to the processing plant - aka chickens.Any one know that they eat fruit as well??? So now they don't just mess with the leaves but also mess with my fruit? well guess I'm going to nuke them till they glow...View attachment 3872066View attachment 3872067

My mom was an organic gardener, recruited me to help at an early age. I was given a glass jar with lid, an inch of turpentine or something like that in the bottom, and sent outside to gather pests. I got a penny for each Japanese beetle I captured so I liked seeing them coupled $$. I liked finding tomato hornworms, too as they were worth ten cents, woo!At this point, I'm not breaking any records, just praying the plants survive hail & brutal heat & the pests. Those Japanese Beetles are here now, little jerks! They are everywhere but really like the Magnolia flowers. I pick them off to throw to a chicken but she's more interested in raiding the blueberries just ripe for picking. When I toss the beetle it may hit the ground but most times the buggers fly off just before a chicken's beak reach. What's really annoying, those little pests are often in the act of step 1 to reproduction, while on a beautiful Magnolia flower... what sick little perverts!
