I'm watering right now as the sun sets...I hate to see this end. You did good little summer garden. Thank you.






The gulls left. The geese are talking about it. The sun is set & the little foxes are catching moles & mice & even played with a grasshopper earlier.


Chickens are all roosted, except for Romeo, still bugging Henny to get inside with the rest. She likes to dilly dally, get that last cricket!

I brought in about a dozen green tomato stripped all but
the grape tomato still ripening giving tomato most days.

Went and picked the cushaw pumpkin. Before I picked it I picked 2 yellow squash. I turned the water on and came back inside and completely forgot about it so my garden should be heavily watered.

I combined a few recipes I googled just put less sugar. ingredients are: green tomatoes, yellow onion (more than required), salt, sugar, vinegar, dill. I minced it all and cooked.

Brussle sprouts stand tall all by them selves.

Sounds yummy! I think I will try Vidalia onion & no sugar, see what I get with using a sweeter onion. I'd rather not use sugar, or try Stevia if it requires some sweetness.

I also love collecting seeds right before cleaning it all up. The seeds of life for the next garden!

Been collecting deadheading all summer really. Love the Marigolds! So many, I even toss some into the chicken coop & egg boxes. The hens smell Marigold Marvelous!

90 yesterday and again today. 7 days of near 90. Cool down coming Sunday and 88% chance of rain. The work and heat have me tired. Plus I need to see the Chiropractor.
