I would go meet the chicken neighbors. I have had them get chased, cross the road and keep going getting lostNo luck on the missing hen. She was definitely missing during feeding time this morning. No feathers or evidence of any attack so either something snatched her and carried her off or she wandered away. There is someone with chickens, I think, on the other side of the overgrown 4 acre lot behind our barn. I can hear them occasionally. I've never had my birds leave my property except to steal bird seed from one neighbor whose backyard bird feeder is near the treeline right by my compost pile. That neighbor is very friendly and loves my chickens so I know they would never hurt any of them. We used to have a vixen and kits who had a warren somewhere on the vacant lot but I haven't seen any of them in over 2 years now. Coyotes are more likely... Or a hawk.
