What did you do in the garden today?

Sage loves neglect. If you pay attention and baby it, it'll die. Sandy soil, a layer of mulch, and walk away. It thrives on drought and poor soil.
Yes, very true. All mediterranian herbs are like that. Rosemary, lavender, etc.
Yesterday I had some imaging tests done. Results reflux, small hiatal hernia and age-related changes. DR increased my med to twice a day for the reflux. Thinks I have silent reflux. That is, I do not notice heartburn but still have some. Thinks stomach acid is causing my voice change.
My son has the same issue. I have also have a sliding hiatal hernia, meaning it comes and goes. Too much exercise and bending do me in every time. Not helpful when you need to lose weight. Sigh!

No work in the garden today which I probably should have done... Lots of clean up needed. Also expecting a hard freeze later next week.

Blanched and froze the carrots from this morning.

Also spent a couple of hours trimming away wild raspberry canes and rogue saplings growing around our perimeter fence in an area that I'm creating a new pen for my girl goats. Did I mention how much I HATE wild raspberries? They aren't even fit to eat because they are bitter. Nasty plants that are super invasive and hella hard to eradicate.

My wild black raspberries are sweeter than the domestic I had for a while.

Why not just let the goats browse the wild raspberry canes?
