What did you do in the garden today?

First pic is wild mustard. The mustard family when fall planted get stocky and will not bolt in the shortening days. In springs lengthening days they bolt to seed. The Chinese made good use of the mustard family. Chinese cabbage and such. Second pic is hollyhock starts of various ages.

Made the candy boards last night, ready to put them on the hives. Garden is empty, would like the weather to dry up a bit so I can plant some clover or a cover crop.
I have problems with cover crops down here in kentucky, they turn into vole motels. Remembering the first year I planted winter wheat, there was a vole hole every 3 or 4 inches by the time I harvested.
