What did you do in the garden today?

Remember the vinegar and egg video to make calcium. Well, I made some and poured it on my tomato, pepper, and eggplant seedling and the leaves turned yellow. I found out that too much calcium will trigger a lock out of other nutrients and the leaves will turn yellow. I washed off the potting mix and repotted them. I will only use the egg calcium on mature plants from now on. One egg per plant doesn't mean young plants.

I made some egg/vinegar calcium solution a couple years ago and the instructions for use were to dilute it into water, 1 part calcium solution to 1000 parts water.

The English Thyme cuttings that I placed in a white plastic bag died after I took it out of the bag, and the one, I stuck in a green onion companion pot outside grew without a cover, so I conclude not to cover them when cloning. I have another batch going on its second day without a cover and it looks good.

I only used 3 eggs to 1/4 cup vinegar and mixed that after two days with a gallon of water and liquid fertilizer. I made sure my ec, ppm, and ph were okay before I used it.

Am trying to remove all the stinging nettles which sprouted in the last 2 years ( of course, I will let some remain for butterflies and the chickens) wow, those roots go down deep and are hard to dig up, even in our sandy soil, my oldest hen stuck around all the time and gobbled up all the critters I dug up 😅
