I got another 25 onion plants in the ground. So that's 75 Patton and probably 50 of that variety to go.
I thought I had a 100 pack of red and another of yellow. Apparently I bought a couple packs of yellow before that

When I was trimming weeds around the raised beds I saw that the baby Bok Choi is starting to bolt already. Time to pick them all and eat 'em. I'll feed the dozen seedlings I have started to the chickens since there's no sense wasting garden space on something that will immediately bolt. I'll plant Bok Choi in the fall from now on.

My poor hen is feeling really bad today, but the others sense it and have been staying close to her and talking in a way that sounds sad and sympathetic.

Transplanted my tomatoes today, they are leggy but all I have to work with is a bay window. They did fine last year so let’s hope the more expensive varieties I got this year will do just as well!

We will be above freezing at night for the next 10 days, hopefully we are done with freezing temps and the plants can go in the ground soon.

It has been sunshine yesterday so I did some weeding

Today I will be like my chickens again catching sunshine and bugs..Not me eating bugs, but digging and weeding

If you don't already know you can re-pot the tomatoes as deep as you want so they're no longer leggy in the new pots. The tomato stems will send out more roots when buried and supposedly make the plants stronger.

Yes I will need to do this at the weekend. Might see if some things can go outside now to free up space on the growing shelves. I have a second tray of tomato seedlings planted the same day which don't have this problem. My best guess is that the very large seedlings might have gotten over fertilized. We have one jug of plain water and another with a cap of liquid soluble fertilizer pre-mixed in. It's labeled but I might have grabbed the wrong one or my husband of the kids. These tomato seedlings weren't meant to have any fertilizer yet.

With those, comes 5 more blackberry plants for me. Also insanity. Why. Why do I do these things.

Because...more fruit more veggies...more . More work but more good stuff later, it's always too tempting!

I got some of my tomatoes and peppers planted. I still have so many more to plant. I also planted some parsley and fennel. I don't think I will have to worry about tomatoes this year. As of now I can identify 30 or more plants.
