What did you do in the garden today?

I am so glad we don’t have to deal with ticks. We had them in our yard after our neighbors dog died and they always give me the creeps.
We have so many dangerous imported ticks now, Lyme disease is on the rise ( my mother had it, another friend too, he got therapy but still has problems) they transmit a lot of other unpleasant diseases too 🥺

Oh yeah and when we got home last night I was walking down the hall to get water. Saw this little gem on the carpet.

Not sure if it came in from outside or... If it hitched a ride on either me or DH from out at the lake last night. Always fun to consider that you may have had a scorpion riding on you in the car for 2 hours.

I forgot to add these photos of the lake when I went for a walk during the party.

Beautiful!

Me too, but I also pulled MORE stinging nettle roots 🙄
I take it those aren’t the nettles that are good for you

I grew up on a farm in the Midwest and we had them every year. I can’t tell you how many I had to pick off my ankles and out of my hair. Blah.

I have an outdoor green water culture of Daphnia to feed to my aquarium fish.

I can't use wood when I redesign my next nest box. I hate when I see termite eaten wood, it freaks me out. I am thinking about using metal Unistrut with heavy duty milk crates...............However, both Unistrut and milk crates are expensive. It cost $69 for 4 milk crates on amazon.

I remember when you could get milk crates for free by the dozen behind every grocery store in America... 🙄
