I call them Crayfish. That’s what my teacher taught me a long time ago when we were dissecting one.

That map though… everyone I know (I’m in Washington) calls them Crayfish.

Loved to sing it when I was a kid. A gang of us kids used to go hunting for crawdads but no one wanted to cook them. Just catch and release.
