Hi I hae been searching for a thermoniter with a humidity checker with it but cant seem to find a reliable one so if anyone has any opinions on which one to chose it would be great!

I went to Home depot and bought 4 digital and 4 mercury thermometers. brought them home , set them all in the incubator and kept the most accurate 1 of each and took the rest back. In the garden dept they have the thermo's that have both the temp and humidity. The digital records highs and lows which is really nice to know.

I do not think Home Depot sells mercury thermometers, they are probably alcohol thermometers.

Mercury is about to be banned in thermometers and it's been fazed out.

I'm using these right now, they're made for reptile terrariums:

Hygrometer: http://www.amazon.com/Reptile-Thermometer-Exo-terra-hygrometer/dp/B00101JIA6/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1268776337&sr=1-5

Thermometer: http://www.amazon.com/Exo-Terra-Hygrometer-PT2466/dp/B00026053Y/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1268776337&sr=1-9

(The
pictures show what I have, but the second link has the wrong picture - the product being sold is actually the hygrometer, even though it shows the thermometer in the picture...

I tested them against all the other thermometers and hygrometers we had in the house and yard, and these two were surprisingly accurate for being so inexpensive. I bought another set just like that little round gold one in nmantime's post that was absolute rubbish - I'd have taken it back but it's an hour-long drive back to the pet store (one of the drawbacks to living in a rural area).

I stand corrected. Old mercury style Thermometers.
