What is a good place to buy sultan chicks

Sultan chickens have been one of my favorite chickens for all time, but I have been reading and wonder if some sites of truly trustworthy when it comes to obtaining sultans. If i could i would obtain them from a breeder which is obviously the best place to get sultans but I don't have the time for something like that. So i was wondering what would be a good site to order sultan chickens but still be convenient. In the future I will probably get sultans from a breeder but that is for another day.

Welcome to BYC! Where do you live? Cackle Hatchery in Lebanon, MO sells them. I would get them at the closest possible place, and the best thing would be if you can actually drive there and pick them up, to spare them the stress of shipping. But if not, I'd choose the closest.

I've never personally ordered Sultans from anywhere, but there are quite a few hatcheries that sell them. Cackle, Meyer, Ideal, McMurray, are just a few. You will be getting the pure breed, but they may not be up to the standard.

I live in middle Tennessee so that would be like a 14 hour drive from here so that would be a little too far for me to pick up sadly. I must just have to order them. Which i could go to a breeder which is only 3 hours away but they is 6 hours of driving.

Then I would pick the one that is nearest, as shipping will likely be quickest from a closer source.

Ok thanks for the assistance but I have one more concern. Are the chicks you get from hatcheries related like are the sultans all related because it would be nice if I did not have to buy more sultan chicks once some die and that they not be inbred. (which i have to buy more anyways but at least it just be getting a new rooster or something...I hope)
