What about a mix? If you were selling a dozen at a time, maybe do 5 brown eggs, 5 green/blue, and then just a couple white? It if were me, I would be delighted at the colors.
Or maybe just brown and green/blue. People are weird about white eggs (although apparently some people refuse to eat brown eggs🤣🤣🤣)

As horrible as that is, that looks way better than being shoved into those tiny individual cages. At least they can walk. I can just imagine the pecking order squabbles that would happen though.
I guess it depends on how you look at it. If I were to go to jail I think I would prefer solitary confinement vs. anyone being able to beat me to a pulp or to death while the guards look the other way. There is no way they don’t end up with dead birds that were bullied to death with that setup.

Yes but if you think about it, chickens are flock animals, solitary confinement does not serve them well. Especially if that solitary confinement means they can barely move. Both are awful conditions for the birds though .

I see your point, but I’d rather be able to move.

That’s my point. If someone is buying factory farmed “cage free” eggs for the sake of the chickens health and well being they are lying to themselves and are only trying to relieve their conscience of guilt. The only reason the chickens in the picture are “cage free” is because they can charge an extra $1-$2 a dozen. They are not cage free for the chickens welfare.
