Thank you for the responses. I'm at a loss on what to do. Our run isn't large enough for them to stay in 24/7 and knowing how chickens natural instincts lead them throughout the day with eating, scratching, dusting, visiting..... I'm not sure if I could keep them penned.
Oh, but this has been a hard day.... poor roo.
I just lostone hen to a predator and now another one went missing without a trace.
She was attacked by whatever got yhe little Easter egger, but was fine yesterday.
Last night, when I went to lock them up, she wasn't there. I had them in their run and in the barn yesterday, for safety reasons.
It's so upsetting.
