What to do with extra eggs?

There are many, many unemployed people in this country now; your taking your extra eggs and garden produce to your local food bank would be a very good thing that you can do with any extra food.

I've never sold any of our eggs, but I am constantly giving them to our friends & family. They all keep the cartons and return them for a refill

My FIL has bought me a few bags of feed and I've had people show up with treats for the girls.

What we don't eat (or feed to the dogs!) we give away. It works for us!

my chickens started laying eggs today.. but from the first day i had them as chicks i was thinking about the same thing, and i agree with all the other people, sell them or give them away.. a few days after i got my chicks all the people around heared about it, and they always said theyll be happy to buy some as soon as they start laying. i also have a garden and every time we have had too many vagtebles to eat we would give them away, it feels good to give to others and sometimes you get something back, last year we gave away some blueberries to an old couple, and a couple days later they gave us a water-melon from their garden.

well I don't buy Mayo anymore cause the homemade is so fresh and yummy 2 eggs 2 cups of oil a little salt a little sugar and a tblsp of vinegar and squeeze a half a lemon in to taste

My cousin owns a bussiness in town and I sell them for $2.50 a dozen she tells her clients and they practically sell themselves

thats funny! Our dog loved it when I fixed him scrambled eggs as well...just didn't realize i wasn't the only one doing it.

I give our dogs a whole egg, uncracked, just as it was found in the nestbox. They think they're the BEST treat!

They eat the shell and all!

I have this same problem too! I think you could first sell them, then if that doesn't work, just give them away. Tip-Sell them at a low price so people will want to buy a decent amount of them.

Everyone knows a few people who are having a hard time or living moderately on a fixed income...( think of older people, who may be living of of SS) . I sell some eggs, but when I have extra's I give them to people who could use them. I don't make a big deal out of it...just tell them I was swimming in eggs and thought of you.

x2 There are food pantrys for the needy, there are old folks homes, care facilities, soup kitchens. What you don't use, sell and/or give back to your animals donate to the needy.

I do not sell my eggs, I enjoy what we eat and we give eggs away. What a waY to be giving and bless others. We will have 7 chickens laying by July/August ( 5 lay every day now) and more when we figure out what my chicks will be. Eggs will be plentyfull so to the elders of my neighborhood eggs to you all !
